Raw 7-26

I sure hope Raw can keep the momentum going for Summerslam. I liked last weeks show even if Kahli and Bret didn't fit the bill. I'm happy for a few reasons with the WWE. One, the WWE title is alone without Nexus getting in the way. Second, Nexus has a feud with 7 other competitors which means it should have regular matches on Raw. Finally, no guest host tonight which means the time waster will be on Santino and Kozlov. WWE, let's burn down this blog tonight.

I do need to talk a little about Kane and the entire Smackdown show. Every week I tune in, I feel it's a better wrestling show than Raw because it has WRESTLING! It's a key ingredient to a good wrestling show. For example, you don't make a meat and potatoes meal without a steak. You shouldn't have a wrestling show without wrestling. Some Raw episodes forget this factor. We see episodes with very little flavor or substance. Smackdown always guarantees me one or two good matches. Case in point, last week Rey and Swagger's 2 out of 3 falls was fantastic. Also Drew and Ziggler versus Christian and Hardy was great. I hope it becomes a Hardy Christian feud, even if I don't want Christian heel. Raw has had good moments were wrestling is front and center. However, not every week like the so called "b" show. Last week, I told you how much I hated Kane winning the world title at MITB last Sunday. I still don't like it and wish it could have gone a different route. I will say, my opinion lessened when I saw Kane's in ring promo Friday night. That's twice Kane has made me a believer in the story. Who knew this guy could cut a good promo? If they did know, why the hell wasn't he doing them a long time ago? I still think the WWE will ruin everything by making Kane the culprit and turn him heel. Huge mistake after what he has shown since the story begun. A hardcore wrestling fan like myself has dampened his opinion twice when I was first skeptical.

Jericho would have ruined everything if he came out and said how happy he was to be a part of the team. Jericho plays the heel so well that even in a group mainly of faces, he has to be a bad guy. Cena talking about loving the business which is really funny to say to Jericho who may end up leaving the company very soon. His contract is expiring and rumor has it, he is ready to walk even if he's on top of the wrestling world. Wow, the Summerslam match sounds like a Survivor Series match only we never see Survivor Series matches on Survivor Series. Makes total sense to have a match that's suppose to be on a pay per view named after it but never do it. Finally the Nexus has real matches.

To early, way to early to have Orton on the show. Hey, the Uso's congrats on having two meaningless matches with the Dynasty and then becoming push overs for the WWE title contender. As the match proved, Orton dominated and won after hitting most of his spots. Miz keeps trying and I like that only it makes Sheamus look extremely weak. The better spot would have been the bell ring and Orton comes in RKO's Miz and both men get counted out because they can't get up. I will be super pissed if Orton wins at SS and Miz cashes in and takes the belt. Damn it, the WWE will do it for sure now.

Edge told the truth about Kahli. He's the worst character on the roster. He can't talk, wrestle or anything else. The night kept on getting better, Michael Cole alone commentating. One way to boost ratings, have Cole be alone and talk to us. Edge leaves and Kahli doesn't get beat up. Brilliant. The Nexus has been ruthless, brutal and attacks everyone. They have an opportunity to take out the worthless giant and do nothing.

I guess the only reason the Nexus didn't beat the crap out of Nexus was to keep their strength to wrestle the 7 members of team Raw. That's a stupid reason but only one that makes sense. I didn't mind the Nexus eliminating guys quickly like Lawler or Goldust. I had a problem with David Hart and Tyson Kidd, you know the freaking tag team titles and Evan Bourne. I know the Nexus has to look unstoppable but that was b.s. Come on Bourne is your next U.S. champ and he gets pinned in 20 seconds. Your tag team champions went out in under 3 minutes. You never have to bury all your talent to push one team. The other thing is where in the bloody hell was the rest of team WWE? You just sit back and watch one of your guys get destroyed. This episode has made absolutely zero sense to me. Great Michael Tarver got the microphone. Night keeps getting better. Nexus stick to Wade speaking and that's it.

Alicia "I don't get no pops" Fox against the worthless Bella twins. Nobody cares at all. I'll make a bet with you and if you win you get to write my blog. I'm not kidding. You get one week to write your own WWE Raw blog if you win this bet. I bet you that by the first Raw of September, the Bella Twins are no longer on any WWE show or roster. If they are still on the roster, you get to write your very own Raw blog and we will post it on BBSD in place of mine. This isn't a joke. I'm not lying. All you have to do is text "I want JCalls job" to 469-212-3167. If your the 25th text, you win. Showstoppers will announce the winner. This is a great way for me to give back to you, my awesome readers.

We need to get back to Raw. I hope that's not the last we see of Morrison and Dibiase. I know the whole story all night has been the dissension between the Raw 7. I get it, doesn't mean I like it. Edge and Jericho make sense, they are heels and shouldn't get along with anyone. Morrison and Truth on the other hand, should be able to coexist. They were a tag team at one time. One thing is for certain, the WWE 7 will be on the same page by Summerslam.

The WWE should have Miz, Sheamus and Orton in the main event next pay per view. I could get with that as long as Miz isn't the champion. I said it last week, I don't feel Miz is ready. He isn't to main event by himself. If you throw him in with Orton and Sheamus, who can carry the match, Miz won't be exposed. Much like this evening, Miz was in the main event but not carrying a match. He had stellar help in the ring. If you put Jericho in position to be a face, fans scream Y2J. It's so funny because it's true. I heard them on Raw. I went back and watched Fatal Four Way and there were plenty of Jericholics in the audience that night. He's been the best heel and yet, fans will turn and cheer for him in a heartbeat. Main event salvaged some of Raw. Jericho hitting the Codebreaker was a nice opportunity for Jericho. I think Bret will come back next week and help manage the team. He can explain how this is bigger than one man and get the Canadians on the same page. I can see the future.

Raw failed in my book. I thought the WWE had a good idea ending last week with the Raw 7 and thought it would help Raw. Instead, with all the fighting, it looks stupid now. Orton was showcased way to early and Kahli showed up three different times. That's three to many. Nexus's match was a joke since no opponent lasted more than 3 minutes. What match will you even remember from Raw? Exactly, I have to ask that's a bad sign. Keep listening to Showstoppers and you better text "I want JCall's job" to 469-212-3167 for a chance to win your own Raw Blog. Seriously this is legit. More wrestling to come later in the week on BBSD with Wasp's TNA blog. I know it's TNA so it sucks but Wasp does a great job. Be back next week. Can't wait to hear who won the chance to take my job for a week. It's not as easy as it looks.
