Guess who's Back

In case you missed Showstoppers, the best damn WWE blogger on the planet is back on BBSD. I wasn't planning on being back for several more weeks. The truth is I missed writing and wanted to come back. I had to beg Larry to let me back but eventually he caved in. I caught a reoccurring theme this week on BBSD, everyone hated Raw. Go figure, I have a different opinion. Then again, I was sitting in the arena watching it live. Before my perfect Elimination Chamber picks, I have to talk about Raw. I couldn't be more excited to give you what you want, my WWE opinions again. Man it feels good to be back.

I will admit my opinion will be a little biased since I was at Raw this past Monday at the Wells Fargo arena in Des Moines Iowa. I will agree had I been home, I would have hated the Springer segment. I do enjoy Jerry Springer and since the crowd was so hot, I couldn't help but join in on the Jerry chants. As far as the matches, I enjoyed the Triple H John Cena match and thought they did a great job in the ring. The biggest surprise in my opinion was how many RKO or Randy chants there were. I don't know how it came across on television (I can't run a DVR yet) but the crowd was in love with Randy Orton. It was a dream come true since week after week I cheer for Randy. I know why some people were complaining about the Bret Hart segment. If you know me, I am a huge Hart fan so I won't tell you how excited I was to see the Hitman. The show as a whole was fine. I wanted more from Kofi and Teddy. I don't always get what I want. The WWE knows how to disappoint but Monday was not a disappointment to me. My buddies and I had a great time, even though weather permitted me from getting home. Alright I know, enough Raw I came back to talk about the Elimination Chamber.

Divas Title Match
Gail Kim vs Maryse

Since Melina went down with her injury, the WWE thought it was a good idea to have a tournament for the Diva title. The idea looked good on paper but was executed to total failure. Does anyone even remember this is the final match of the tournament? Did you forget there was even a women's title on Raw? Yes and Yes. I said it when the tournament started that the final was going to be this match. I didn't know it would take a full month and a half before we could get the final. I'm taking Maryse to win the Diva title and hold on to it until Melina comes back from injury.

Intercontinental Championship
Drew McIntyre (c) vs Kane

When was the last time Kane had a title match on a pay per view? My guess is several years ago. I have no idea why Kane is even in this match. I guess they didn't want to throw him into the Chamber and give a guy like Truth, who shouldn't be in the Chamber, a pay per view title match he has a chance to win. I believe R-Truth and Drew would be a much better match and would show off the young talent. The WWE has been pushing young talent and Drew will keep his belt. All I ask is if you keep the belt on Drew until Mania, give us a damn IC title match at Mania!

WWE Title Elimination Chamber Match
Sheamus (c) vs. HHH vs Cena vs Dibiase vs Orton vs Kofi

I listened to John, Eric and Larry give their picks on Showstoppers for this match. Larry picked HHH because he thought the WWE needs him to carry the title into Wrestlemania. John and Eric both took Sheamus and didn't give Larry a real response to why he is so deadly wrong. The main reason HHH shouldn't have the belt heading into Wrestlemania is because if he wins there isn't a big payoff at Wrestlemania. The face should be chasing the heel into Wrestlemania. If you give HHH the win Sunday, then the fans have no reason to give a crap about the match at Wrestlemania. You leave the belt on Sheamus and let him battle Triple H at Wrestlemania. By the time Wrestlemania arrives, fans will be ready for HHH to win his 14th world championship. Now, I hope that explains things a little better. Im taking Sheamus to keep the title.

World Heavyweight Championship Elimination Chamber Match
The Undertaker (c) vs John Morrison vs R-Truth vs Punk vs Rey vs Chris Jericho

The same scenario holds true in this match as I talked about in the prior WWE title match. The Undertaker has been champion a long time. He and Shawn are both going to take some time off after Wrestlemania. Do you want one of them to have the belt after Mania if they are going to leave? NO. John and I spoke on the phone about this match several times. Edge is still waiting to pick an opponent for Wrestlemania and he has already faced the Undertaker once at Wrestlemania. I know the WWE has teased a potential rematch in the past few weeks on Smackdown. The match that makes the most sense is Edge vs Jericho. They were tag team champions and when Edge got hurt Jericho made fun of him for weeks. I felt the WWE set this match up back at the Slammy's when Jericho poked fun at him again. I left this match for last because I think it will end the show. HBK will come out and get involved costing the Undertaker the World Title and setting up a HBK Taker II at Mania. I am going to pick Chris Jericho to win the World Title.

The Elimination Chamber is one of the most unique structures in wrestling. I love the Chamber and have seen most of them. I think Sunday will shape up to be one of the best ever Chamber matches with the WWE title match. The combination of all the talent is sure to be entertaining. The final stop before Wrestlemania takes place this Sunday. I will certainly enjoy the pay per view. Be sure to watch Showstoppers, yes I said WATCH, this Sunday live from Wings. I'm so thankful to be back. From the bottom of my heart, I missed writing and thank you for bringing me back.
