Anyone believing Steve Austin is the Raw GM? Yeah me either. The WWE is heading towards Money in the Bank with a lot of skepticism. I like several matches and I think the show might be worth the money I fork out. The reason for the skepticism is when I think a show is going to be good, it usually sucks. Raw tonight has to eliminate that from my brain. One mystery is the last Raw MITB ladder match participant. Will it be someone special or just a random wrestler like Zach Rider? I want the WWE title to finally be the last thing we see before the camera shuts off. I don't have much to say before Raw begins, since I said a lot about many wrestlers in my previous blog.
I would complain about the opener because, lets face it, I hate Cena. His promo was full of lame jokes and the same crap I've heard twenty times. I liked the WWE title match being promoted first. I loved fans screaming 'What' during the email. The ending was very weak.
Alicia versus Kim would be nice to watch if Kim even had a remote shot to win the contest. As the match was less than 5 minutes. Kim gets squashed while Eve gets another shot. Yeah, the WWE screwed up the first time by giving the match last night a total of four minutes. Hopefully the Diva title rematch will get more time. I had hope a few ppv back when it came to Eve and Maryse. Zero, absolutely no hope for this match.
The 6 man tag would have been nice 6 weeks ago. The Uso's had momentum and came into the WWE making an impact. The WWE ruined everything not showing off either teams' skills. The feud was on again off again. The match was made to tease us for Sunday. I don't think it did since The Uso's have about as much chance to take the titles has I do of winning the lottery.
Is it wrong that I would give Maryse a golden shower? That might have been to much. Moving on. I like where this feud is going. I said when talking about Teddy, he should have challenges for his Million Dollar belt. I don't think either of these two men will win the MITB Raw match. If Morrison can stay healthy, I think the WWE will push him slowly with a feud with Dibiase. I'm more pissed that this took so long to finally get going.
The cheers get louder for the Viper. I thought Edge Orton would be a better story. I've felt it has come up a little short. I know Orton got hurt and limited one match. I still thought this would be the best story on Raw and carry the show for the summer. I feel it didn't do that, Nexus has carried the summer. Sunday should end it between the two. The match proved how good the story should have been and the RKO off the Air Bourne was unbelievable. The timing was superb and the pop was deafening. There is no doubt Orton is the man after that sweet RKO. The moment will be the one to remember from Raw.
Miz took out Truth last week to look strong before the MITB match. Mark Henry does nothing for me. You replaced an athletic black guy for a big fat black guy. I'll take the athletic one. Mark is a decent wrestler and did well in his only MITB match at Wrestlemania a few years ago. This would have been the perfect time to bring back Bryan Danielson er Daniel Bryan. Now that would have been a surprise, TNA could learn what a surprise is from me.
The giant waste of time goes to the Brady bunch match. I will say at least Flo seemed to have a good time. I pretty sure she said Gold dog. Maybe no one noticed. The Ladder match with Razor and Shawn at Summerslam was incredible. I keep hearing Taker and Triple H will come back at the biggest event of the summer. I sure hope so but only to wrestle each other. Triple H comes back and is the man who took out Taker. Fun to be had by all. We have really only saw one big time feud between Trips and Taker. That was back at Mania 17. I know one ShowStoppers host said this so I won't take all the credit. I think it's a good idea. Yes, I said one of the hosts had a good idea. Please don't tell them though.
Funny, Sheamus running from Nexus. I still believe Sheamus will be a half face half heel tweener wrestler after Sunday. He seems to be getting fans on his side more and more. Tonight, we finally saw Nexus in a real match. Only logical thing to do after a 100 beat downs over the past month. The Nexus had to win the match since it was 6 on 1. I didn't think it was anything special though. Cena cut himself, didn't see how. Sheamus coming down to help tonight, turn on Sunday?
Raw tonight was good enough to make me think about buying MITB Sunday. I am interested in how the Nexus will play a role and how the WWE title match will end. Tonight, the night was for Orton. Unbelievable moment and one not soon to be forgotten. I will have a Money in the Bank Pay Per View Pick Blog up on Wednesday night, Thursday morning. Showstoppers will have their picks on their next show. I'll take the bet I get a better record than all of them.

Raw 6-21
I will admit Fatal Four Way didn't suck as bad as Extreme Rules. The concept actually worked and we got a few good matches. I wish the WWE had announced the Dynasty Uso and Jericho Bourne matches before the event. I wouldn't have paid 50 bucks for the show but those two matches made it more tempting. I was puzzled by a few of the moves made last night. No guest host tonight and for that I say thank goodness. You know we have to break down Fatal Four Way before we start to Raw.
So long Swagger. Your time as World Champ is over with and now you can go back to mid card wrestler. Rey makes a good champion because of his stature, fans get behind him. I'm not sold Swagger wasn't doing a good job. I think Swagger had the fans hating him and that was a good thing. I would hate to see him fall down the ladder. He and Rey should battle for the WHC and hopefully he can get back on the good graces of the WWE management. The other big news is Sheamus winning the WWE title. I love it. He deserves a long run and hopefully he will carry the belt past Summerslam. As far as NXT finishing the show, I was all for that as well. They need a leader soon. We have all heard reports of Michael Cole, Triple H and Chris Jericho. Out of that group, I say Jericho. However, there is another man that keeps coming to mind. He lost his WWE title last night. Yes, I am talking about the man who has gotten the crap kicked out of him by these same men. John Cena went off on the Long Island crowd last night after the show. Cena was booed out of the building. Is it time to finally turn Cena heel? The best way to do it would be having him become the NXT leader. It will never happen but it would shock the wrestling world much like NXT did a few weeks ago ambushing Cena.
WWE could you please pick 'Let Me Hear You Scream' by Ozzy as the new theme song for Raw. You would be doing everyone a favor because cool people hate Nickelback. Thank you. I love Vince and I love Bret Hart. I saw enough of that feud back at Mania. I don't want to see it again. Vince firing Bret is stupid. Bret was doing a good job. The computer general manager is even dumber. A GM has to be shown. This is lousy and lazy booking. It screams of, 'We don't know who could be GM, so we will just use a computer'. Sheamus had a great in ring promo. He had me fooled for a minute. The e-mails were ridiculous but the main event was a good idea. I like seeing a WWE title match on free television. Something tells me we are not going to see a clear winner though.
A fantastic match with Evan and Jericho. Raw should have more matches like that every single week. I don't want to see Jericho ever and I mean EEEEver leave the WWE again. Evan and Jericho could have another match and I certainly would not be upset. There match in the past two nights has out shined almost anything else. Now if the WWE would hype the feud up and let Evan and Jericho talk, this could be the second best feud on Raw.
Teddy is one lucky bastard. He also had one of the best lines of the night. I think it's great to put Maryse and Teddy together. Maybe now he won't be the laughing stock on Raw and can start something real. NXT beating up the Dynasty works for me. I wanted to see more from the Uso Hart feud. Can the WWE ever finish one story and then start a new one? I guess not tonight. The Dynasty won the tag titles and once again they push the titles aside for another story. It can't be that hard to write a good story for the Dynasty without adding NXT.
The NXT guys suck on the mic. Their in ring promo proves everything I have said in the past. They need a damn leader to talk for all these men. The crowd seemed disinterested by the time Wade grabbed the mic. I like the WWE having a brand new stable and making their mark on Raw. We haven't seen a big stable like this in years. I want them to have a leader though. This Raw is hit and miss all at the same time.
I would have rather seen Teddy get back in action with Morrison. Although the WWE must be starting to see something in Ryder. I saw it a long time ago. The match was pretty entertaining. Morrison should start getting pushed some. Not to the moon but start winning matches and gain some momentum. Miz and him could be the match at the next pay per view.
Anything with the Great Kahli is never good. I was impressed with the moonsault by Eve. Alicia Fox and Eve can have a good feud. Eve has been improving and maybe the crowd can get behind her if she is chasing the title instead of caring it. Most fans won't care about the Diva's no matter what the WWE does with them. That is unless they are posing in Playboy. I don't mind seeing the Diva's if they have a good story or can wrestle. We just never get to see anything develop with them.
I could really get into a Orton Miz story. We have never seen it so it's new. It felt fresh until Edge came out and speared Orton again. The one positive is Orton is now a 100 percent and he and Edge could have a real match since Orton got hurt in their first and were in a four way match last night. Now they might be able to have a real contest.
The main event with Sheamus and Cena was worked very well by both men. However, if NXT got what they wanted then why continue to attack Cena? I don't understand. Again the story over shadows the WWE title. Beating up Vince takes him out of the running to be the leader. I couldn't tell if the crowd was appreciative or shocked. Shocked after it was over. A large NXT chant was very funny from the crowd. The NXT guys are certainly leaving there mark all over the place. We haven't seen anything like this since NWO. I just don't want the WWE to write it like the NWO and so far they have. At least they aren't adding 10 million other wrestlers to the group.
Raw was up and down. We saw a great match with Jericho and Bourne. Sheamus and Cena had a very nice match as well. The NXT guys will be who everyone remembers. I hate that. I know fans love the NXT angle and it got better tonight beating Vince up. I want this to be headlining Raw but not ruling Raw. You can have other things going on which would make the whole show great. I hate the new GM emailing Michael Cole. As I said that's just being lazy. We need a figure head to know who is in charge. WWE is going to keep pushing the NXT guys down our throat. I just wish they could book it to where fans might remember something besides NXT.

Raw 6-14
The big news coming from the WWE has certainly been the NXT take over from last weeks Raw. I couldn't wrap my brain around it at first. Tonight, we should get a real explanation on what the hell is going on. Some guy from the USA network show is hosting, doesn't it even matter. The guest host thing has ran its course. There was one announcement the WWE released on Friday night that certainly upset this WWE blogger.
How the hell could the WWE let go of the best wrestler on NXT? Daniel Bryan was the most talked about and well rounded of all the season one NXT wrestlers. The reasoning was because he choked one of the announcers by his tie. Big deal! Yeah the Beniot tragedy was horrendous and shouldn't come up in conversations. It also happened years ago and I don't find the act Bryan did as that bad. Maybe the producer shouldn't have zoomed in on the act either. He didn't deserve to be let go by the company. If the WWE is smart with this news, they turn it around and make it part of the much bigger story with the NXT invasion.
The in ring promo was weak to say the least. Everyone said the same boring thing only different explanations. I liked having all of them come down and then they started talking. I was shocked they said Bryan and actually made him a face. The NXT take over and speculation didn't last long. A contract? That's all they wanted. Bret stop saying WWF. I didn't like the beginning of Raw. They story had all the momentum in the world and Bret comes out and fires all of them. I would have rather seen beat downs for a few more weeks. I talked about what I wanted to see out of this program last week in a NXT specific blog. This was certainly not close to what I wanted. WWE, you f'd this up big time.
Even if I wanted to see this match on the pay per view, I will definitely take it free on Raw. I like all four guys, as much as I discredited certain aspects of Morrison a few blogs back. Raw needs these mid card wrestlers to step their game up. I praised Smackdown and I will continue because I always see two solid wrestling contests every week. Rey Swagger and Ziggler Christian were the two this past Friday. Morrison over the top power bomb flip shows how great, exciting and reckless he can be. The match was ppv quality. Taking the title off of Truth feels like a mistake. He has been gaining a huge fan base. Morrison and Miz is the next feud.
I was pissed off last week with the viewer's choice. What a damn joke. Jericho has been booked to look weak for months. Evan kicked out of the Codebreaker was incredible. I didn't see that coming. I know Evan is getting a big push. I would have rather seen a much longer two segment match. Hopefully this starts a Bourne Jericho feud because my wrestling appetite is ready for more. Jericho is leaving soon for an ABC game show. Okay that's cool. Don't bury him on the way out like Batista.
Cena should be fired. He used the word Radicals and Chris Beniot was a part of the Radicals ten years ago. Get rid of him. That would make about as much sense as releasing Bryan. Now having Cena call them back out and wanting them to come back was a good idea. Most people would prefer a 6 man brawl end Raw. However that would have been a bad idea. You don't want to over shadow the WWE title.
A fatal four way Diva title match is surprising to be on the card. A bigger surprise would be if the WWE gave Kim the title. She has never been in a good story since coming from TNA. Kim never even competed in the match. I get so pissed off when the booking is so stupid. She is a solid in ring performer and should at least been used.
Good to know little Teddy can wrestle again. He must be over the concussion. Teddy has turned into Chavo. He gets made fun of every week from the celebrity host. Come on, it's time to get Teddy back on track. He's better than this. He is wasting away on Raw and needs a real feud and fast. Drop Virgil and start pushing the talented man. Even Santino, who is a joke but in a funny good way, has a feud going. Teddy can't get anything good to happen to him and Santino can beat Regal. Also would have liked to see the Dynasty and Uso feud here instead of Santino and Regal waste a few minutes. No mention of their feud and I believe they have a match at Fatal Four Way.
Is it wrong that I have become a huge Sheamus fan? I like the Irish ghost. Randy has been losing steam because of his shoulder injury. I think it has hurt his face push. The fans are still well behind him and the pop is big. The pop was bigger say five weeks ago. Once he gets a hundred percent, the WWE will push him again. The main event was given time which was nice. The four biggest names deserved time to develop a good in ring story. I liked Cena getting the beat down in the match. Obviously Orton couldn't take all the bumps because of his shoulder. I talked about the pops and when Orton got the hot tag the crowd went nuts. The great curve ball would be to give Sheamus the belt Sunday since he was booked the worst going into Fatal Four Way. The giant curve ball again to end Raw was the limo smashing take over of NXT. Different from last week and I liked it. We all know they weren't going anywhere and this is a great opportunity to get them what they want. I still don't like that all they want is contracts. You can demand a lot more. NXT should continue to beat the crap out of people for more than one week.
Raw didn't confuse me like last week. I am starting to understand where the WWE is going with the story. NXT is gaining more momentum. I didn't care the main event was cut short and we never got a winner. NXT is a big story and should be used that way. You can't forget about the top 4 guys on Raw and the biggest title in the WWE. You can do both if you play it smart. We know they don't always do it the right way or the smart card. BBSD is always playing the smart card. Not sure why I keep plugging Showstoppers since they never mention my blog. But in case you want to listen to two morons and one smart guy (take a guess on who I am referring to as smart, starts with J) hop on over to the radio tab and listen to ShowStoppers. I will be back Thursday morning for a very big and important pick blog. Why is it big and important? Find out Thursday morning.

Raw 5-24
I did it. Woooo! I finally starting turning it around with my Over the Limit picks. Man, it feels good to be back on top... of the BBSD wrestling world. At this point, I'll take it. The pay per view has come and gone, time for some new stories to start up. A new general manager is suppose to be picked. We are one step closer to ending the celebrity host crap since they are hashing out 90's Saturday Night Live star Jon Lovitz. We have to look deeper at Over the Limit before Raw.
The WWE may piss all of us off when it comes to their PG rating, Over the Limit showed that a pay per view can be good if it is more concentrated in the ring. The IC title match was very well done as was the tag titles. I was stunned Truth picked up the win over Dibiase. I called Big Show winning by dq. Cena and Batista wasn't great but I won't complain to much since Sheamus came out after it was over. The biggest news is obviously Randy Orton. I have heard conflicting reports. He could have a separated shoulder or a broken arm. We should know more by the time Raw goes off the air. I'm hoping for the most minor because I love Orton and would hate to see him out longer than a week.
I was hoping Raw would start off on the right foot. A Batista promo in a wheelchair was not what I envisioned. The announcement of Bret being the new GM is fine by me. You know I have a bromance with Bret so seeing him stay is a great idea. Bret isn't the best mic skill but fans will respect him as the general manager. Randy must not be in to terrible shape if he is going to be placed in the main event at the next pay per view. Batista quitting for good was music to my ears. Batista has had a very nice career since he began so late in life. He has been a multiple world champion and some classic feuds. I feel his time has come to walk away as his character was getting very stale.
Sheamus needed to get back into the main event on Raw. Mark Henry needs to find a tag partner or something. He is getting buried on Raw. The Irish Ghost hasn't had a feud since Triple H left. He got lucky with the Fatal Four Way pay per view coming up because now Sheamus won't have to carry Cena by himself. The match was not stellar (Has Henry ever had a stellar match?) it still served the purpose of putting over Sheamus.
The Diva match at Over the Limit lived up to my expectations. I didn't figure it would be a five star instant classic. I wanted a match a little longer than the normal four minutes we get on Raw. I got that and then some so I was happy. Good to see Kim being used in the ring instead of eye candy. I'm not saying she isn't hot, I just want to see her compete. The tag team match might lead to a fatal four way of all four of these ladies at the next pay per view.
I was looking forward to seeing what Raw was going to do with the United States title. I didn't fully understand why Truth was put in the match. Maybe because he beat Dibiase. Miz deserved a rematch. I was hoping for a tournament but since they just had one for the IC title, I bet the WWE didn't want to do that again. I am really happy the United States title is getting some much needed exposure on Raw. Vince must be reading this blog every week and finally decided it was smart to use the second title. R-Truth has certainly been getting a good push and I have to say that's what's up. I am glad to see it. Truth has plenty of skills and gets the pops. This should mean a good story with Truth and Dibiase for the US title once Dibiase recovers from his concussion.
Did you get a deja vu moment when Cena gave his backstage interview? I sure did. If you are a kid under 10 or a woman, I forgive you for being a Cena fan. If you are neither and are still a Cena fan, I want to bitch slap you harder than Truth slapped Dibiase. Yeah, he didn't quit and he's taking notice to everyone. The next time Cena does a promo, I think I will write yada yada yada.
I like Jon Lovitz and usually find Kahli funny. Not tonight. It was nice to hear Jon say this was a waste of time. Jon seemed to have fun. The audience didn't. I did like Dibiase getting some face time even if it wasn't a match.
I might start talking about Natalya being my girlfriend than Maryse. She seems to be ignoring me, maybe Natalya not. The Hart Dynasty took out Regal and Kozlov quickly. The announcers were puzzled by who the mystery attackers were. I wasn't sure who they were. Although I thought the chick looked familiar. The crowd seemed confused as well. I like it though. A special surprise and a brand new feud instead of something rehashed or two guys just thrown together.
NXT guys got a nice little backstage promo. Speaking of the NXT guys, I failed to mention on the pick blog about my new hero, Daniel Bryan. Bryan had a great promo last week and followed it up with a few slaps on Cole. He never got a chance to show off the mic skills before he got eliminated. I like Bryan and I look forward to seeing him on one of the big shows after the NXT show is over.
Why was Cena even in the match? The booking tonight hasn't made a whole lot of sense. Every qualifying match was different. The spot with Jericho putting on the walls with Cena holding the STF on Edge was neat as was the spear with Jericho on Cena's shoulder. Edge being put in the title match was smart. You push two stories at the same time and add in the WWE title. The match was better than I expected to end Raw. I don't see Orton having to much in ring action until the Fatal Four way match. As long as he shows up every week, I'm happy.
Raw was a decent show. Way to much filler but that will happen when half your roster is aching from the pay per view. The US match was good and putting Truth over even more is a great idea. I didn't fully understand the qualifying matches. No matter how we got the match, I think its a good match. Bret staying on as the GM is also a good move. Raw wasn't great but didn't suck completely either. Ashton Kutcher is next weeks host and I have to say, yawn. I could careless but then I would actually have to try to care less. Does that make sense? In plain English, Kutcher is a d-bag and i don't want him near the ring. I hope that helps. Keep checking out Showstoppers and Wasp TNA blog.

Raw 5-17 A Celebration
Why are we celebrating this blog? We should really be celebrating every blog but this one is truly special. I have been doing the Raw blog for one year now. I'm not going to hand out some superficial award to myself. Instead, the award goes to you, the fans that have made this blog possible and kept it going for the past year. I am proud to be the voice of the old school wrestling fan. Raw goes commercial free for the second time it WWE history. Buzz leads us into space for the 1 year anniversary of the start of the BBSD Raw blog.
No special second paragraph I want to get straight to Raw. The WWE did the right thing with having the Canadian hero Bret Hart coming out first. The riff back and forth between Jericho and Bret was a beautiful thing. The beauty of it all is Jericho, a fellow Canadian, who got his native country men to boo him. I was really hoping Bret wasn't going to wrestling versus the Miz and maybe I will get my wish.
Edge vs Christian
Jericho may have been booed, Edge wasn't. I couldn't have been happier to see Christian being the opponent for Edge. I would have loved to see an entire feud with Christian and Edge, perhaps next years Wrestlemania. How good could an actual feud be with Christian and Edge? Their match on Raw solidifies what we all knew, it would be awesome. Shocking to say the least to see The Undertaker return! The Undertaker doesn't make a whole lot of sense showing up on a random Raw but who the hell cares it's the freaking Undertaker. We may not have witnessed an actual match and I wanted to see a Tombstone Piledriver. It was still nice for the Taker to show up. I must be part Canadian since I enjoyed the first two segments of Raw.
I guess the WWE is going through with a permanent GM of Raw. I wonder who they are going to pick. Poor Buzz couldn't remember where he was, it's the WWE buddy. The WWE is doing something right with the Diva title on Raw. We have been seeing the budding feud between Eve and my girlfriend Maryse in the past few weeks. The payoff should come with a nice one on one match for the title on Sunday.
Mark Henry must have pissed someone off one of the writers. He has been beaten down the last two weeks by Batista. I haven't heard he had a legit injury. Henry has made Batista look ultra strong heading into Over the Limit.
Yoshi Tatsu vs Ted Dibiase Jr
Virgil, the Virgil sighting and he even got a loud pop from the crowd. Hilarious! Yoshi is under used, that's an understatement, on Raw. Tatsu showed he could be more than a jobber. He could certainly be in a feud with someone for the US Title. The match was solid and Teddy needed to go over and get the win. I can't believe Virgil will stick around for a while. If you're over the age of 20 you would know who Virgil is but most kids will have no idea.
Miz vs Bret "The Hitman" Hart
Regal and Kozlov showing up should mean when the Dynasty beats Miz and Jericho Sunday, they will be the new feud. The match wasn't pretty, much like Mania, and I have no idea how the story will go from here. All I know is it's cool that Bret gets a title win to celebrate his final Raw. Bret may have to come back now. I wanted the United States title to get some exposure. I was hoping for a real feud. The kid in me is pumped. The wrestling fan is questioning the booking.
Eve and Bella Twins vs Maryse, Layla and McCool.
I don't get why McCool had a title. Eve has started to grow on me a little lately. I can remember when all Diva matches on Raw were 6 diva matches. The most beautiful Diva gets the win and momentum heading towards their ppv match. I actually have some expectations for the Diva title match.
Cena with the same promo he has been doing since 2003. He is passionate during his interview, except he gives the same damn speech. I won't lie to you, I took a piss during it. Batista and Cena ranks up there with one of the worst WWE title feuds in history. I'll give them some respect since their matches have not sucked. They have gotten by. Sunday needs to finish the feud and Batista's career.
Randy Orton vs Jack Swagger
The Swagger pick makes complete sense. Orton beat him a few weeks ago and Swagger picked up the victory at Extreme Rules. I'll have more about Swagger and his World title reign on my Over the Limit pick blog which will be on the website Thursday morning (cheap plug). I had a feeling Canada would love Randy Orton. They are one of the most vocal fans and love the Anti-Hero. The match was good not great. The dq had to happen. Neither Orton nor Swagger could afford a loss before Sunday.
Bourne and Kim vs Ryder and Fox
I believe I called this match last week on my Raw blog. As I said then, Raw needs small feuds like Bourne and Ryder. I enjoyed the match but I always do with Bourne. I kind of hope the feud can go a little bit longer. I'm pretty sure Buzz was drunk.
Sheamus vs Cena
The sad thing is with Triple H out, Sheamus will be kept off the pay per view. The Irish Ghost should have been placed in some sort of feud after Over the Limit unless Triple H is going to come back. Sheamus has worked hard and has turned into a solid in ring performer. The match was better than I expected. The fall for Sheamus sounded horrible. The outcome was predictable, either Cena wins or Batista interferes. The I Quit Match will no doubt end the show.
Raw was a very good show if you like in ring entertainment. I really enjoyed Edge vs Christian and the Swagger Orton match. I love solid wrestling and the WWE finally gave me what I wanted. It doesn't always happen but when it does, I am a very happy Raw blogger. Jon Lovitz is next weeks host. I find Jon funny, not sure if that is going to matter hosting Raw. I can already think of a good backstage segment with Jon and Santino. Be sure to check out Wasp's TNA blog every Friday morning and ShowStoppers every Tuesday afternoon. You can check out my Over the Limit pick Thursday morning on BBSD. The best damn WWE blogger on the planet thanks you again for keeping this Raw blog going. I sure hope we can keep it going another year.

Good Ole' JR
The latest news in wrestling is Jim Ross's contract is up and the WWE will not be renewing his deal. The best wrestling, perhaps in all of sports, announcer is going to hang up the black hat. I am deeply saddened and pissed off by the news. I don't understand why you would let the best announcer walk away and a guy like Matt Striker or Michael Cole have jobs. Jim may end up at TNA or other side projects. With the news and an uncertain future, I felt compelled to write my idol a personal letter directed to him.
Dear Good Ole' JR,
I heard the WWE is not going to renew your contract and your time in the wrestling industry could very well come to an end. You have probably heard it before by some of the biggest names in wrestling but it should be said from this moment on, Jim Ross is the greatest announcer wrestling has ever had and most likely ever will have. Your relationship with the wrestlers was showcased by your brilliant calls. I could name a ton of moments I can remember and never forget. Most of my memories come from the "Austin Era". You and Steve had a relationship one could only dream about. I have heard many stories where Steve said you were the one that put him on top of the wrestling world. The thing I admired the most about your announcing was how you could tell the story to the fans.
We all witnessed some instant classic with beautiful storytelling during the match. You would always understand the story and illustrate it to us. The most important thing is you never took away from the story. You enhanced it. The announcers today have not learned that which hurts the wrestling product. You knew what to say and how to say it or you knew when to stay quiet and let us enjoy the moment. Great broadcasters have learned the art and you painted the most beautiful paintings.
The other thing I want to say is you always saw the potential in wrestlers even when they didn't. You always said Shelton Benjamin was the best pure athlete in the WWE. I couldn't argue that point. Shelton displayed how good he can be during the Money in the Bank matches. However, he never fully understood "it". I'm not an insider and I have no idea your relationship with Shelton. I do think he should have listened to you a little closer because he could have been something special. I always admired your honesty during any of your broadcasts and the insight you gave us.
You can not be replaced. I know the WWE has tried to move you to different shows and different partners, it never mattered. You were the main attraction at the table. I am not sure if you will come back to the WWE or sign with TNA or stay retired. All I know is, no one can wear the black hat you have left behind. Thank you for the wonderful memories. I wish you nothing but the best in your future.
One of many true wrestling fans,

P.S Can I get Vince McMahon's number? I thought I would ask.
