Raw 7-26

I sure hope Raw can keep the momentum going for Summerslam. I liked last weeks show even if Kahli and Bret didn't fit the bill. I'm happy for a few reasons with the WWE. One, the WWE title is alone without Nexus getting in the way. Second, Nexus has a feud with 7 other competitors which means it should have regular matches on Raw. Finally, no guest host tonight which means the time waster will be on Santino and Kozlov. WWE, let's burn down this blog tonight.

I do need to talk a little about Kane and the entire Smackdown show. Every week I tune in, I feel it's a better wrestling show than Raw because it has WRESTLING! It's a key ingredient to a good wrestling show. For example, you don't make a meat and potatoes meal without a steak. You shouldn't have a wrestling show without wrestling. Some Raw episodes forget this factor. We see episodes with very little flavor or substance. Smackdown always guarantees me one or two good matches. Case in point, last week Rey and Swagger's 2 out of 3 falls was fantastic. Also Drew and Ziggler versus Christian and Hardy was great. I hope it becomes a Hardy Christian feud, even if I don't want Christian heel. Raw has had good moments were wrestling is front and center. However, not every week like the so called "b" show. Last week, I told you how much I hated Kane winning the world title at MITB last Sunday. I still don't like it and wish it could have gone a different route. I will say, my opinion lessened when I saw Kane's in ring promo Friday night. That's twice Kane has made me a believer in the story. Who knew this guy could cut a good promo? If they did know, why the hell wasn't he doing them a long time ago? I still think the WWE will ruin everything by making Kane the culprit and turn him heel. Huge mistake after what he has shown since the story begun. A hardcore wrestling fan like myself has dampened his opinion twice when I was first skeptical.

Jericho would have ruined everything if he came out and said how happy he was to be a part of the team. Jericho plays the heel so well that even in a group mainly of faces, he has to be a bad guy. Cena talking about loving the business which is really funny to say to Jericho who may end up leaving the company very soon. His contract is expiring and rumor has it, he is ready to walk even if he's on top of the wrestling world. Wow, the Summerslam match sounds like a Survivor Series match only we never see Survivor Series matches on Survivor Series. Makes total sense to have a match that's suppose to be on a pay per view named after it but never do it. Finally the Nexus has real matches.

To early, way to early to have Orton on the show. Hey, the Uso's congrats on having two meaningless matches with the Dynasty and then becoming push overs for the WWE title contender. As the match proved, Orton dominated and won after hitting most of his spots. Miz keeps trying and I like that only it makes Sheamus look extremely weak. The better spot would have been the bell ring and Orton comes in RKO's Miz and both men get counted out because they can't get up. I will be super pissed if Orton wins at SS and Miz cashes in and takes the belt. Damn it, the WWE will do it for sure now.

Edge told the truth about Kahli. He's the worst character on the roster. He can't talk, wrestle or anything else. The night kept on getting better, Michael Cole alone commentating. One way to boost ratings, have Cole be alone and talk to us. Edge leaves and Kahli doesn't get beat up. Brilliant. The Nexus has been ruthless, brutal and attacks everyone. They have an opportunity to take out the worthless giant and do nothing.

I guess the only reason the Nexus didn't beat the crap out of Nexus was to keep their strength to wrestle the 7 members of team Raw. That's a stupid reason but only one that makes sense. I didn't mind the Nexus eliminating guys quickly like Lawler or Goldust. I had a problem with David Hart and Tyson Kidd, you know the freaking tag team titles and Evan Bourne. I know the Nexus has to look unstoppable but that was b.s. Come on Bourne is your next U.S. champ and he gets pinned in 20 seconds. Your tag team champions went out in under 3 minutes. You never have to bury all your talent to push one team. The other thing is where in the bloody hell was the rest of team WWE? You just sit back and watch one of your guys get destroyed. This episode has made absolutely zero sense to me. Great Michael Tarver got the microphone. Night keeps getting better. Nexus stick to Wade speaking and that's it.

Alicia "I don't get no pops" Fox against the worthless Bella twins. Nobody cares at all. I'll make a bet with you and if you win you get to write my blog. I'm not kidding. You get one week to write your own WWE Raw blog if you win this bet. I bet you that by the first Raw of September, the Bella Twins are no longer on any WWE show or roster. If they are still on the roster, you get to write your very own Raw blog and we will post it on BBSD in place of mine. This isn't a joke. I'm not lying. All you have to do is text "I want JCalls job" to 469-212-3167. If your the 25th text, you win. Showstoppers will announce the winner. This is a great way for me to give back to you, my awesome readers.

We need to get back to Raw. I hope that's not the last we see of Morrison and Dibiase. I know the whole story all night has been the dissension between the Raw 7. I get it, doesn't mean I like it. Edge and Jericho make sense, they are heels and shouldn't get along with anyone. Morrison and Truth on the other hand, should be able to coexist. They were a tag team at one time. One thing is for certain, the WWE 7 will be on the same page by Summerslam.

The WWE should have Miz, Sheamus and Orton in the main event next pay per view. I could get with that as long as Miz isn't the champion. I said it last week, I don't feel Miz is ready. He isn't to main event by himself. If you throw him in with Orton and Sheamus, who can carry the match, Miz won't be exposed. Much like this evening, Miz was in the main event but not carrying a match. He had stellar help in the ring. If you put Jericho in position to be a face, fans scream Y2J. It's so funny because it's true. I heard them on Raw. I went back and watched Fatal Four Way and there were plenty of Jericholics in the audience that night. He's been the best heel and yet, fans will turn and cheer for him in a heartbeat. Main event salvaged some of Raw. Jericho hitting the Codebreaker was a nice opportunity for Jericho. I think Bret will come back next week and help manage the team. He can explain how this is bigger than one man and get the Canadians on the same page. I can see the future.

Raw failed in my book. I thought the WWE had a good idea ending last week with the Raw 7 and thought it would help Raw. Instead, with all the fighting, it looks stupid now. Orton was showcased way to early and Kahli showed up three different times. That's three to many. Nexus's match was a joke since no opponent lasted more than 3 minutes. What match will you even remember from Raw? Exactly, I have to ask that's a bad sign. Keep listening to Showstoppers and you better text "I want JCall's job" to 469-212-3167 for a chance to win your own Raw Blog. Seriously this is legit. More wrestling to come later in the week on BBSD with Wasp's TNA blog. I know it's TNA so it sucks but Wasp does a great job. Be back next week. Can't wait to hear who won the chance to take my job for a week. It's not as easy as it looks.

Raw 7-19

The WWE continues to confuse and infuriate me. I wanted to like Money in the Bank. I wanted to believe this was going to be the time the WWE pushes the right guys. I thought Christian would get his shot to be the man on Smackdown. I may have been over .500 on my MITB picks, I still feel like a big loser. Raw should answer some questions I have after last nights show. I'm pretty sure you aren't going to like what I have to say about the pay per view. So let's get this out of the way: send your hate mail to jcall@bigbadsportsdaddy.com. There now you have the address before I even begin.

The fact is the WWE ruined both Money in the Bank matches. Kane winning on the same night of the pay per view wasn't the worst decision of the night. I can already see the end of the title reign for Kane. He will face, presumably Swagger sometime in the next few months, not Summerslam because Undertaker won't be ready. Kane will look like he's about to keep the belt and the bell will toll. Kane will be distracted since he's the real culprit. Swagger will win and run out of the building carrying the World title. Taker will walk down the ramp and there goes the entire story. Sorry to ruin it for you. So Kane gets a whole 2 or 3 month title reign. I guess it's better than one day like his first one.

The biggest blunder was Miz winning the Raw ladder match. Miz isn't ready to be the face of a show let alone the #1 show. Miz is a nice piece of the puzzle. He can be a wrestler you can elevate someone else over. He draws decent heat, in ring and mic skills. I can't see him as a franchise guy. Granted, Sheamus wasn't ready but his push was done very well. He was new, came in as a monster and started dominating. That works because fans now believe Sheamus can win any match he is participating in. Can you think that of Miz even after he cashes in? I won't. Miz will never be more than a mid-card wrestler. The only way fans will buy him as world champ is if he cashes in like Edge. Edge was on the same level as Miz and won when Cena couldn't move. Now Edge is a 6 time world champion. However, Edge won those titles after doing Lita in real life and plastering himself as a real life a-hole. Miz was on "The Real World". That's not the same. Some will say how great this move is and pushing different talent. I'm all for pushing the new talent, there's others out there who deserve it in more. My Raw pick was Edge. I threw Miz out the window. I would have been happier with Morrison than Miz. Poor Morrison is turning into the Marty Jannetty of M'n'M. Just remember everything I said about Miz because he's going to be a transitional champion. One and done.

A great way to start Raw. The match was fantastic. I would have paid to see a match that good. I thought Jericho would win at first. Orton and Sheamus will be a lot of fun to watch and better than their first. Cena is going to be facing Nexus. Orton needed something and main eventing the second biggest event works for me. Orton got screwed at Wrestlemania. This is a great way to make it up to him. At first glance, Orton won't take the belt from Sheamus. But I still love the contest.

I wasn't surprised, neither should u, when Nexus beat them both up. We haven't seen the last of Edge and Jericho and hopefully it will be a special match at Summerslam. Has a main event on Wrestlemania been an under card the same year at Summerslam? While you search for that on Wikipedia, I will say no. Nexus has to continue beating up established stars. I would like to see them concentrate on one guy, Cena, and leave everyone else so we can get more stories for Summerslam.

Eve had a crappy match with Alicia last night. She had an even worse match with Mayrse tonight. Dibiase and Morrison continuing is a good thing. Mayrse might even leave Dibiase for John if his losing streak continues. Dibiase needs the mustache like his old man. I would like to see the Million dollar belt added to the mix. Summerslam would be a nice place to have a Million Dollar Belt challenge.

I know Sheamus and Evan wrestled several times. I still liked the contest. Sheamus used some unique offense since Evan is so small. The cheat to win shows Evan is strong enough to beat Sheamus. All I can say is thank you Truth for stopping Miz. This isn't the right time to cash it in. I was shocked how the fans reacted to Miz trying to cash in. Truth or Evan should take the US title off Miz so he can concentrate on being the first to ever lose when he cashes in.

The WWE showcases the tag teams so well. After a money show, they don't show off The Dynasty. Nope, rather have Santino and Kozlov beat Ryder, who doesn't deserve being buried, and Regal in a joke match. Ryder should be in a real feud and not teaming with Regal. Where the hell was The Dynasty? Tag team division has been a joke after JeriShow had the belts. All that hard work was wasted because writers are morons.

Barrett almost killed Henry. He botched the finisher and that's another reason you shouldn't try to lift a big man like Henry. Barrett didn't throw Henry like Cena can throw Show. Next time he will know better. Still impressive he got him up. The best Cena could do was Kahli? The WWE is going to be in trouble. Of course I liked Bret coming back. I am still waiting for Triple H to come back. The team would have been stronger without Kahli. It's about time 7 men teamed up to take on the Nexus. Orton and Sheamus were out with the WWE title match. I want to see War Games and I think we will eventually. You can't blow it the first go around. Plus if Trips comes back at Summerslam as the head of Nexus, then we can eliminate Kahli and Bret and get some real wrestlers.

Raw tonight had its ups such as the beginning with Orton, Jericho and Edge. I enjoyed Sheamus and Bourne. The Nexus bailing is smart booking because they shouldn't be made to look weak right now. I didn't like The Dynasty being left off the show and the time waster of Santino and Kozlov. Cena finally has a team and it's got some real players. Truth came back was a nice surprise, I didn't see coming. I want to see more before I go all out for Summerslam. Is Miz going to float until he cashes in? What about his US title? Bourne isn't part of the Cena's group so it's high time the high flyer gets the belt. Raw has my interest, now can it keep it for until the summer's biggest event. Make sure you check out Showstoppers and Wasp's TNA blog weekly. I will give one Showstoppers host credit, John got one MITB ladder match correct. I'll be back next week.

Money in the Bank Picks

My apologizes because this pick blog is going to be quick. The matches set up seem to have a really good story. This pay per view is going to dictate how the rest of the year is written. One MITB ladder match winner could cash in the very same night. Raw shook off my negativity and I think I will fork out the 45 bucks to order this bad boy. I don't need any more time because it's time to nail some pay per view picks.

Unified Tag Team Championship
The Dynasty (c) vs The Uso's
If you read my Raw blog and last weeks Building a Star blog, you would know I'm high on the Dynasty. Ok, John wrote about the Dynasty, I'm telling you I like them. This feud was written by lazy ass writers who didn't do a darn thing correct. This title defense should mean a lot more than what it does. For the sake of the tag titles, keep it on The Dynasty. I'm picking The Dynasty.

Diva Championship
Alicia Fox vs Eve
No hope for this contest. Give it back to Eve because Alicia sucks. They won't, Alicia keeps.

Women's Championship
Layla vs Kelly Kelly
Honestly, I don't care who wins. I don't think either of them are worthy of the Women's title. Neither can out wrestle McCool. I will say this has been a better story than Raw's Diva match. I'm taking Kelly Kelly to win.

Raw Money in the Bank Match
Mark Henry vs Morrison vs Orton vs Jericho vs Edge vs Bourne vs Dibiase vs Miz
Raw has the better Ladder match. Orton had the most amazing RKO on Raw so the momentum is there for the Viper to take the briefcase. We can cancel out Henry, Bourne and Miz. They are nice pieces but won't win. I would love to see Jericho take this match and get back on track. I don't see it. Edge has been pushed aside every week and has been barely noticed unless he's getting his butt kicked. That is why Edge will win.

Smackdown Money in the Bank Match
Christian vs McIntyre vs Hardy vs Kane vs Big Show vs Punk vs MVP vs Ziggler
I love seeing Christian and Hardy in this match. They along with Ziggler will steal the pay per view. I think we will see some sweet high spots with the big men. As in the Raw match, you can throw out guys like MVP, Hardy and Ziggler (as much as I like him). I know the WWE is looking at Kane in a different way after his first promo about the Taker. Punk has won 2 times and 3rd isn't the charm. Edge wins the Raw and his former partner in crime Captain Charisma Christian, YES CHRISTIAN finally gets the push he deserves.

World Championship
Rey Mysterio vs Jack Swagger
The ankle lock isn't original since Angle used it a ton. However, I like Swagger using it as it gives him something to use even on a guy like Big Show. Rey has been weak since winning the belt last month. Is he a one month wonder? Nope, the underdog finds a way to win.

WWE Championship Steel Cage
Sheamus (c) vs John Cena
Nexus will show up. I know you are shocked. You would have never seen it coming. Sheamus won the belt with the help of them at Fatal Four Way. I liked the way Raw ended with Sheamus helping Cena out. It was a way to believe Sheamus cared about Cena. His character isn't one to help out unless it's for his own cause. It will be because he keeps the belt and to end the show happily, Nexus starts beating them both up and Triple H returns.

Raw 7-12

Anyone believing Steve Austin is the Raw GM? Yeah me either. The WWE is heading towards Money in the Bank with a lot of skepticism. I like several matches and I think the show might be worth the money I fork out. The reason for the skepticism is when I think a show is going to be good, it usually sucks. Raw tonight has to eliminate that from my brain. One mystery is the last Raw MITB ladder match participant. Will it be someone special or just a random wrestler like Zach Rider? I want the WWE title to finally be the last thing we see before the camera shuts off. I don't have much to say before Raw begins, since I said a lot about many wrestlers in my previous blog.

I would complain about the opener because, lets face it, I hate Cena. His promo was full of lame jokes and the same crap I've heard twenty times. I liked the WWE title match being promoted first. I loved fans screaming 'What' during the email. The ending was very weak.

Alicia versus Kim would be nice to watch if Kim even had a remote shot to win the contest. As the match was less than 5 minutes. Kim gets squashed while Eve gets another shot. Yeah, the WWE screwed up the first time by giving the match last night a total of four minutes. Hopefully the Diva title rematch will get more time. I had hope a few ppv back when it came to Eve and Maryse. Zero, absolutely no hope for this match.

The 6 man tag would have been nice 6 weeks ago. The Uso's had momentum and came into the WWE making an impact. The WWE ruined everything not showing off either teams' skills. The feud was on again off again. The match was made to tease us for Sunday. I don't think it did since The Uso's have about as much chance to take the titles has I do of winning the lottery.

Is it wrong that I would give Maryse a golden shower? That might have been to much. Moving on. I like where this feud is going. I said when talking about Teddy, he should have challenges for his Million Dollar belt. I don't think either of these two men will win the MITB Raw match. If Morrison can stay healthy, I think the WWE will push him slowly with a feud with Dibiase. I'm more pissed that this took so long to finally get going.

The cheers get louder for the Viper. I thought Edge Orton would be a better story. I've felt it has come up a little short. I know Orton got hurt and limited one match. I still thought this would be the best story on Raw and carry the show for the summer. I feel it didn't do that, Nexus has carried the summer. Sunday should end it between the two. The match proved how good the story should have been and the RKO off the Air Bourne was unbelievable. The timing was superb and the pop was deafening. There is no doubt Orton is the man after that sweet RKO. The moment will be the one to remember from Raw.

Miz took out Truth last week to look strong before the MITB match. Mark Henry does nothing for me. You replaced an athletic black guy for a big fat black guy. I'll take the athletic one. Mark is a decent wrestler and did well in his only MITB match at Wrestlemania a few years ago. This would have been the perfect time to bring back Bryan Danielson er Daniel Bryan. Now that would have been a surprise, TNA could learn what a surprise is from me.

The giant waste of time goes to the Brady bunch match. I will say at least Flo seemed to have a good time. I pretty sure she said Gold dog. Maybe no one noticed. The Ladder match with Razor and Shawn at Summerslam was incredible. I keep hearing Taker and Triple H will come back at the biggest event of the summer. I sure hope so but only to wrestle each other. Triple H comes back and is the man who took out Taker. Fun to be had by all. We have really only saw one big time feud between Trips and Taker. That was back at Mania 17. I know one ShowStoppers host said this so I won't take all the credit. I think it's a good idea. Yes, I said one of the hosts had a good idea. Please don't tell them though.

Funny, Sheamus running from Nexus. I still believe Sheamus will be a half face half heel tweener wrestler after Sunday. He seems to be getting fans on his side more and more. Tonight, we finally saw Nexus in a real match. Only logical thing to do after a 100 beat downs over the past month. The Nexus had to win the match since it was 6 on 1. I didn't think it was anything special though. Cena cut himself, didn't see how. Sheamus coming down to help tonight, turn on Sunday?

Raw tonight was good enough to make me think about buying MITB Sunday. I am interested in how the Nexus will play a role and how the WWE title match will end. Tonight, the night was for Orton. Unbelievable moment and one not soon to be forgotten. I will have a Money in the Bank Pay Per View Pick Blog up on Wednesday night, Thursday morning. Showstoppers will have their picks on their next show. I'll take the bet I get a better record than all of them.

Building Stars

Let me guess, you thought I was going to write about Lebron. Forget about it. He is yesterday’s news and it's time to move on. I did steal Lebron's idea though. He is teaming up with Wade and Bosh. I decided I needed to team up with one of the BBSD All-Stars John Conner from ShowStoppers. In the wrestling world, the talk has been the young men of Nexus and how to handle their push. I decided we should talk about the men who are being over looked instead. So I asked John to help me out. We chose 10 guys to push and how we are going to do it. People are always talking about how to push wrestlers but never give a plan on how to make them bigger stars. We are doing it all here on BBSD. John gets to talk about 5 and I get the other 5. We alternated and since it’s my blog I got to start. Let’s get it started with the Ballin' Player.

MVP- He was once a big time playa on Smackdown as the United States Champion. He is now a little note on Smackdown. He should be pushed and compete with Drew for that same title that made him. I would set him up to feud with Drew after the Hardy and Kofi story is over. MVP and Drew could feud for a month or two. Then have MVP turn heel and feud with Kofi. It would elevate both their games. By the time Wrestlemania rolls around Drew vs MVP vs Kofi vs Matt Hardy would be a huge match.

Yoshi Tatsu - The man has showed he can hang and for some reason is being buried on Superstars. He has almost the same type of attack as Evan Bourne, but has no mic skills. If you could team him with someone who has mic skills, like he did with Christian, he will be fine. Once established, he could serve as Tajiri. He wrestles hard and gives 110% every night. I could see him partnering up with say Matt Hardy, as both are better in tag teams anyway.

Teddy Dibiase Jr- For one I love the fact he is teamed up with Maryse. He shouldn't win the MITB ladder match from Raw at the ppv. The way I see it is you should push him with the million dollar belt. He could have open challenges for wrestlers trying to take it from him. Teddy would win the matches until Morrison finally wins the belt. The feud would be amazing when you add the Million Dollar Belt. By November, the payoff for Teddy to win it back would be terrific.

The Hart Dynasty - This group could help reinvent the tag team division. You could put Cryme Tyme back together, turn them heel, and there is your feud. Once you get them going, you put guys like Vance Archer and Croft, SES, NEXUS and you have a tag team division. The Hart Dynasty would always be in the title hunt, or have the title.

Kaval- I love this kid. He already possesses impressive wrestling skills. He can talk and hopefully Kaval wins the NXT Season 2. The best thing for this kid would be a cruiserweight division. I know that won't happen. The alternative, team him up with Evan Bourne. The team would be small but since the Dynasty doesn't have a giant, there matches would be fun. When the tag team has lost its luster, time for a long Bourne Kaval feud. Unbelievable.

John Morrison - First things first, you put him back on Smackdown, and automatically it is him vs. Jack Swagger. That feud would be awesome. Swagger has the ground game and Morrison can fly. They mesh very well, and the both are considered legit guys that you can put the World Heavyweight Championship on.

Michael McGillicutty- Is it strange I chose 2 NXT guys? Kiss my ass, it's my list. First, change his name to The Perfect Axe Curt Henning Jr. His grandfather was Larry the Axe Henning and his father was Mr. Perfect. I thought it would be cool to mix the two. It may not be perfect. I would have this kid debut on Smackdown after being the runner up to Kaval on NXT. His father had an impressive winning streak and McGillicutty would have the same streak. Henning Jr runs through the Smackdown under card and gets a match at Wrestlemania 27 with The Undertaker. He won't win but it would jump start his career.

Chris Jericho - He is being buried because he is hosting a game show. RETARDED. He gets put back on Smackdown, to first face the Big Show. Tag teams that end like they did always face each other. Let that feud go for a while, and after Jericho reestablishes himself have him in the title hunt. Once he wrestles Swagger, Kane, Mysterio and Punk, it all culminates at Wrestlemania against...The Undertaker.

Christian- I have mentioned him many times on Raw blogs. I have already said how to make him a star by winning MITB or the Rumble next year. Drop all of that. One scenario would be to have Edge screw Christian over at the Rumble eliminating both members from the match. The feud would start there and get a one on one match at Mania. The feud would go back and forth with the end culminating with a triple threat WWE title Ladder match at Extreme Rules with the then heavyweight champion, Chris Jericho or Randy Orton, you decide.

Dolph Ziggler - Right now on Smackdown your heels are CM Punk and kind of Jack Swagger. Dolph Ziggler has all the qualities to be the ultimate heel. If done right, he is Randy Orton waiting to happen. First he goes against Kofi and Drew for the Intercontinental Title, and then he moves on to guys like Christian and Mysterio for the Heavyweight Championship. He could become the best heel they have had in a long time, and I think he is about to break through.

I think all ten of these guys deserve attention drawn to them. Some of these guys haven't even started their career and others like Jericho would get a fresh start. We all need help sometimes and the WWE is no exception. I think they need to listen to their fans more often. Then again if the Viewer's Choice Raw proved anything it was we have no idea what we want. I think here though John and I proved we are worthy of spots on the WWE writers table. If you want to take a shot at showing you can write a better story on one of our guys or maybe one we missed email it to jcall@bigbadsportsdaddy.com or john@bigbadsportsdaddy.com and if your idea is good it might end up on the famous Raw blog.

Raw 7-5

I would like to start by saying my condolences go out to Ricky Steamboat. I heard he was in the hospital and my warm thoughts go out to him and hope for a speedy recovery. We have a lot to get to this week. Raw needs to step up with its wrestling and stories. The Nexus is dominating and rightfully so and I need to see more from the ladder match participants this week. Smackdown did a lot more for their MITB match than Raw has so tonight needs to help those competitors. The WWE title should finally end the show. Before we can get to Raw, we have to talk about the ladder matches in more detail.

Using money in the bank twice in one year is lazy three times is stupid. You can build stars the right way and do it without briefcases. In fact, winning money in the bank doesn't guarantee you are going to be an epic WWE star. Go back to the first MITB winner, Edge and look at what he did. The WWE was so smart on how Edge won his first title. Beating Cena after an Elimination Chamber match was brilliant. It also took a few more years after he won MITB to headline Wrestlemania. I enjoyed Swagger coming out and saying I'm cashing in right away and backed up his words but now he is falling down the Smackdown ladder. The thing is MITB is special and now the WWE is ruining it. Once a year one wrestler gets the opportunity to get a major push and win a world title. Instead of building wrestlers with say King of the Ring or giving them a big push throughout the summer, this screams of laziness much like the CPU gm. You have to know how to push stars the correct way. I know Larry really wants Morrison to win and then cash in right away before Summerslam. That's a mistake. Morrison should be built like Shawn Michaels way back when. I want Christian to win the Smackdown MITB match and hold on to the briefcase for months. Pick a time and a place and when is that time and place you ask? Wrestlemania 27 baby. Edge wins the WWE title at the Rumble from Cena or whomever. The Rumble winner can face the Smackdown champion at Mania. Christian can come out and talk about this is the opportunity he always wanted. Edge versus Christian for the WWE title at Wrestlemania 27 would be a huge match. Cashing in would guarantee Christian the spot all the while through the rest of this year and beginning of next everyone is waiting for Christian to cash in. Now that's how you can build a star. In fact, you can do that entire story without the briefcase and have Christian win the Rumble or you can even set it up without the rumble win. There are a ton of ways to go about building stars but it takes time. MITB is a good way if it's only once a year.

Nexus starting the Raw was a nice way to bring Barrett back to WWE TV since he wasn't there last week. I loved the heels attacking the faces before they got to Nexus. See that's smart writing because they shouldn't team up. By adding matches for all 8 participants that gives the Raw ladder match more focus, bout damn time. The final line by the emailing gm "and that's the bottom line because the gm said so", yeah that's to get the Internet buzzing that Austin is back. Don't count on it and that's the bottom line cuz the best damn WWE blogger on the planet told you so. All in all the beginning of Raw was very well done.

Teddy taking on Morrison is only something I begged for weeks to see. Maryse stood me up again this past weekend. We had plans to watch fireworks, turns out I can't match up to the million dollar belt. I do have a problem with guest doing commentary. Maryse was talking to me during the match she was to impressed by my blog. Anyway, back to the match I liked Teddy winning. I know someone will be mad at seeing Morrison losing. However if he keeps being pushed down, it will be a bigger surprise when he wins MITB. The ending wasn't done to perfecting since Teddy's dream street isn't the easiest move to pull off quickly.

Didn't Ranjin quit last week? Oh no one cared that's right. I forgot. I can't recall the groups name, I think they were called the misfits. Well Kozlov, Santino and Kahli puts them to shame. No clue where Kozlov and Santino is going and I don't care to much. I like Santino but he's better used as comedic purposes and not his wrestling ability.

Maybe the WWE does read this blog. I said more Arn Anderson the better last week and sure enough he has a great promo with Sheamus. I like the old guy trying to give some advice to the young champion. It works for me. Sooner or later Sheamus will help out the faces.

This week in WWE history, Lex Luger trying to take over Americana from Hogan. Another failure of McMahons. Good try though. The beat down of R-Truth from the Miz wasn't that bad. A match would have been nicer to see. Miz seems to get the push here lately and I really hope Miz and Orton start a feud after MITB ppv. The promos and matches would be great and give the fans a new light to Miz. I don't see Miz headlining a Sunday show anytime soon or in a world title match even on free TV. You have him feud with Orton and win a few matches all of sudden he gets different looks from fans. WWE failed to do that with Kofi last year when Orton was the heel. Orton is the face now it might be easier to help Miz out.

Smackdown brings back 'The Peep Show' and Raw has 'The Cutting Edge' was a strange coincidence. I loved the Bourne t-shirt. The tag match announced even better. Bourne keeps getting a push, first was Cena and now with Orton as his partner. Everything I thought would happen last week like keeping the story lines going with Jericho and Bourne, Morrison Teddy and Orton Edge all happened this week. I'm not sure why the WWE didn't showcase some of this last week on Raw. This is why I talk about WWE being a hit and miss product. Bourne picking up the victory is another sign Jericho is either on the outs or win the ladder match. Orton had to RKO Bourne. No friends only enemies when it comes to the Viper. The match overall was great. Again, give these guys time in the ring to help the MITB story move forward.

We know turning Orton heel would be a huge mistake. I don't for see him as a candidate for being the Nexus leader. The Dynasty takes on The Usos now at MITB. Big damn deal now because WWE ruined everything that was important when the Dynasty won the gold. Alicia you haven't been interviewed because you're black. Those aren't my feelings they are Vincent Kennedy McMahon's. My apologizes to anyone I offended there but as one man says 'the truth hurts'.

I can't recall the Intercontinental title being more important than when that Bret Hart Bulldog match took place at Summerslam '91. From a special title match to the ugliest title match. Alicia turns into HBK faining an injury. I thought the WWE should have promoted the Diva match so we knew it was going to be tonight (like Orton and Edge next week) and make it feel like it meant something. After watching it, I'm glad they didn't.

I didn't think the promo between Barrett and Cena was good enough. I liked Cena being aggressive and I'm sure Cena will get help from the roster next week during the match. I kept saying we needed a payoff for all the beatings Nexus delivered. Raw ended with a small dose of the type of payoff we need to see. The WWE had to start retaliating and having Cena, the poster boy, makes sense. Next week the numbers game should catch up to him though. Nexus can't look to weak unless like tonight, it's one member.

I liked Raw tonight. I thought the show got back to moving stories that were set up weeks even months ago. The tag match with Orton, Bourne, Jericho and Edge was a great way to show off the MITB guys and so was the match with Teddy and Morrison. R-Truth is out so now we have a mystery participant to guess on until next week. Raw had direction and focus tonight and that's a good thing. Hopefully this continues and even better no lame celebrity host. Raw might start to get back on track leading towards summer's biggest even summerfest, er Summerslam. Keep checking out Showstoppers for reasons I can't explain and Wasp's good TNA blog on Fridays. I will have another blog later this week but won't be wrestling related.
