Raw 5-31

Last weeks Raw had to much filler but was a decent show. Questions about Randy Orton's health is still lingering. So far, I have heard he will make the pay per view next month. I'll be honest, I couldn't recall the guest host for Raw, Ashton Kutcher. I am sick of the guest host thing. We have a GM and now the host does one little skit and leaves. I guess that is better than running the show or leading us to believe they run the show. I'm looking forward to seeing where the US title goes now that it is off Miz and on to Truth. We should see some other matches get started for the pay per view. I have a few things to get to before we can get to Monday Night Raw.

Alright, if you listen to ShowStopper, you hear week after week after week about the boys wanting to see John Morrison pushed. I'm all for having love for a wrestler, you know like mine on Jericho. I have a few problems with what the fellas want out of Morrison. John is a wonderful athlete and a talented wrestler. The thing is John hasn't been healthy enough for a long major push. He is always dealing with a nagging injuries. The injuries are strike one. Strike two is Morrison's lack of promo skills. He hasn't given solid promos throughout his young career. I'm not saying he is Shelton Benjamin bad. All I'm saying Morrison is weak in the promo area. He can develop but he's not ready to have promos with Edge, Jericho or Orton. Hell I saw NXT and Daniel Bryan has had better promos than Morrison. The final strike is Morrison in the back. I have read reports that Morrison isn't the most likable guy in the back. I'm not sure the severity of his backstage attitude but to give a guy a major push he needs to be likable so other wrestlers give their best efforts in the ring. The best thing about Morrison is he can correct his attitude, work hard on his mic skills and continue to show off his excellent in ring skills. Morrison has a bright future and I look forward to seeing how damn good he will be over the next few years. I'm just not going to crown him WWE champion or place him in that type of feud like Larry.

The other quick note before Raw is on Smackdown. I have continued to watch Smackdown each week. I get it on Saturday nights and usually DVR it and watch it on Sundays. Smackdown has been the better brand and show in recent weeks. I have seen several matches that were worth my time. They use their under card to perfection with feuds like Christian and Ziggler. Punk has developed into a star. Smackdown's writers have done a great job with the World Champion Jack Swagger. He's been pushed as a top heel and his character has excelled in the All American role. If you haven't been checking out Smackdown, I highly recommend watching or recording it.

Raw certainly started with a bang er spear. I liked how the first segment went with Edge and Orton. Evan getting into the act made it even better. Yes, I am opposed of seeing Bourne being a stepping stone however if say he picks up one of those fluke victories over Edge with a little help from Orton that really helps Bourne over with the fans. He is already well over and this will make the fans believe in him more and think anytime he gets in the ring, anything can happen. Orton made not be 100 percent, he's still showing up and hitting RKOs. I doubt he does much in the main event.

I could really get into an R-Truth Jericho feud. I see it much like last year with Rey and Jericho. The IC title was nothing over on Raw. Then the draft came and the IC belt wound up on Smackdown. Rey and Jericho took the title back to heights it saw in the early 90's. The Miz held the United States title for so long people were forgetting it was on Raw. Jericho and Truth could have a long three month feud to bring back the prestige of US title along with helping Truth with his in ring skills. I talked a lot about the potential of a Truth Dibiase feud and it could have been a wonderful feud. Dibiase received a concussion so he must not be able to go in the ring for a few weeks. As a writer, you have to move on. A brilliant counter to the Walls of Jericho to pick up the victory. The match was a quality in ring performance that could easily set up a nice feud.

I thought for sure Santino and Eve were going to take on Woo Woo Woo boy Zac Ryder and Alicia Fox. Has you been noticing Santino always gets the chicks? It must be the Italian accent. The WWE maybe hinting at another King of the Ring tournament. Why else would they announce Regal as the 08 King of the Ring winner? I can't quite figure out if I can call Kozlov's switch a face turn or not. Either way, this should lead to some funny comic bits.

Ted Dibiase Jr has gotten very good on the mic. Shocking to say the least to see Vincent Kennedy McMahon back on Raw. The viewer concept is an intriguing one. No clue how it will work still might be fun. Vince has been helping out Drew on Smackdown it was only a matter of time before he showed up on one of the shows. The future looks bright for Bret right now. As Vince said, the ending may not be so happy. I don't want to see Vince show up every week or have a full fledged feud with Bret again. A surprise tonight will be diluted if he shows up every week.

Michael Cole being a heel makes me laugh. He sucks so bad and his take on Daniel is he is a nerd. Cole I hope you read this: You are the worst announcer in the world. I popped for the victory for Bryan. The kid really is special and hope this has the making of a real story on Raw. The NXT guys might be finishing up the real winner is Bryan.

I had no idea who these guys and gal were last week. New Samoan blood has been injected into the WWE. The Uso's and Tamina against the Dynasty is going to be a lot of fun to watch in the next few weeks. This is how you develop a feud and a tag team. Fresh meat brought in should help the tag team division. I can see the Dudebusters getting into the act after the Usos over on Smackdown.

Why break up the Alicia Fox Zac Ryder duo? The time waster of the night was certainly that crap. I'll stop right there.

Cena tagging with Bourne was a cool idea. I would have liked to see Edge and Bourne in a singles match next week. The outcome was predictable since Evan was taken out earlier in the night. The match was still nicely done. The fans got to go home happy and Evan extracted some revenge. The only problem is this doesn't make Sheamus or Edge look strong going into the Fatal Four Way match. I'm sure that will change in the next three weeks. Orton is certainly the wild card. He obviously can't work full matches right now. I hope he will be ready by the pay per view.

I wouldn't say this was a memorable Raw. It had it's moments, nothing special though. I am interested in the 3 hour viewers choice Raw. I know they say the fans have the power. I bet it will be a lot like Cyber Sunday. Sounds like a good concept, yet not quite a good as it sounds. Be sure to listen to Showstoppers and check out Wasp TNA blog on Fridays. I would like to give a special thank you to the men and women who fight for our freedoms. You are sometimes forgotten about and that's sad. We should always continue to think about the brave soldiers.

Raw 5-24

I did it. Woooo! I finally starting turning it around with my Over the Limit picks. Man, it feels good to be back on top... of the BBSD wrestling world. At this point, I'll take it. The pay per view has come and gone, time for some new stories to start up. A new general manager is suppose to be picked. We are one step closer to ending the celebrity host crap since they are hashing out 90's Saturday Night Live star Jon Lovitz. We have to look deeper at Over the Limit before Raw.

The WWE may piss all of us off when it comes to their PG rating, Over the Limit showed that a pay per view can be good if it is more concentrated in the ring. The IC title match was very well done as was the tag titles. I was stunned Truth picked up the win over Dibiase. I called Big Show winning by dq. Cena and Batista wasn't great but I won't complain to much since Sheamus came out after it was over. The biggest news is obviously Randy Orton. I have heard conflicting reports. He could have a separated shoulder or a broken arm. We should know more by the time Raw goes off the air. I'm hoping for the most minor because I love Orton and would hate to see him out longer than a week.

I was hoping Raw would start off on the right foot. A Batista promo in a wheelchair was not what I envisioned. The announcement of Bret being the new GM is fine by me. You know I have a bromance with Bret so seeing him stay is a great idea. Bret isn't the best mic skill but fans will respect him as the general manager. Randy must not be in to terrible shape if he is going to be placed in the main event at the next pay per view. Batista quitting for good was music to my ears. Batista has had a very nice career since he began so late in life. He has been a multiple world champion and some classic feuds. I feel his time has come to walk away as his character was getting very stale.

Sheamus needed to get back into the main event on Raw. Mark Henry needs to find a tag partner or something. He is getting buried on Raw. The Irish Ghost hasn't had a feud since Triple H left. He got lucky with the Fatal Four Way pay per view coming up because now Sheamus won't have to carry Cena by himself. The match was not stellar (Has Henry ever had a stellar match?) it still served the purpose of putting over Sheamus.

The Diva match at Over the Limit lived up to my expectations. I didn't figure it would be a five star instant classic. I wanted a match a little longer than the normal four minutes we get on Raw. I got that and then some so I was happy. Good to see Kim being used in the ring instead of eye candy. I'm not saying she isn't hot, I just want to see her compete. The tag team match might lead to a fatal four way of all four of these ladies at the next pay per view.

I was looking forward to seeing what Raw was going to do with the United States title. I didn't fully understand why Truth was put in the match. Maybe because he beat Dibiase. Miz deserved a rematch. I was hoping for a tournament but since they just had one for the IC title, I bet the WWE didn't want to do that again. I am really happy the United States title is getting some much needed exposure on Raw. Vince must be reading this blog every week and finally decided it was smart to use the second title. R-Truth has certainly been getting a good push and I have to say that's what's up. I am glad to see it. Truth has plenty of skills and gets the pops. This should mean a good story with Truth and Dibiase for the US title once Dibiase recovers from his concussion.

Did you get a deja vu moment when Cena gave his backstage interview? I sure did. If you are a kid under 10 or a woman, I forgive you for being a Cena fan. If you are neither and are still a Cena fan, I want to bitch slap you harder than Truth slapped Dibiase. Yeah, he didn't quit and he's taking notice to everyone. The next time Cena does a promo, I think I will write yada yada yada.

I like Jon Lovitz and usually find Kahli funny. Not tonight. It was nice to hear Jon say this was a waste of time. Jon seemed to have fun. The audience didn't. I did like Dibiase getting some face time even if it wasn't a match.

I might start talking about Natalya being my girlfriend than Maryse. She seems to be ignoring me, maybe Natalya not. The Hart Dynasty took out Regal and Kozlov quickly. The announcers were puzzled by who the mystery attackers were. I wasn't sure who they were. Although I thought the chick looked familiar. The crowd seemed confused as well. I like it though. A special surprise and a brand new feud instead of something rehashed or two guys just thrown together.

NXT guys got a nice little backstage promo. Speaking of the NXT guys, I failed to mention on the pick blog about my new hero, Daniel Bryan. Bryan had a great promo last week and followed it up with a few slaps on Cole. He never got a chance to show off the mic skills before he got eliminated. I like Bryan and I look forward to seeing him on one of the big shows after the NXT show is over.

Why was Cena even in the match? The booking tonight hasn't made a whole lot of sense. Every qualifying match was different. The spot with Jericho putting on the walls with Cena holding the STF on Edge was neat as was the spear with Jericho on Cena's shoulder. Edge being put in the title match was smart. You push two stories at the same time and add in the WWE title. The match was better than I expected to end Raw. I don't see Orton having to much in ring action until the Fatal Four way match. As long as he shows up every week, I'm happy.

Raw was a decent show. Way to much filler but that will happen when half your roster is aching from the pay per view. The US match was good and putting Truth over even more is a great idea. I didn't fully understand the qualifying matches. No matter how we got the match, I think its a good match. Bret staying on as the GM is also a good move. Raw wasn't great but didn't suck completely either. Ashton Kutcher is next weeks host and I have to say, yawn. I could careless but then I would actually have to try to care less. Does that make sense? In plain English, Kutcher is a d-bag and i don't want him near the ring. I hope that helps. Keep checking out Showstoppers and Wasp TNA blog.

It's Rigged

I'm not the first to say it and won't be the last to believe the NBA lottery is rigged. How can that be? The NBA is a professional sport with superior athletes. David Stern would never stand for a rigged lottery. The NBA does have superior athletes but David Stern is a law man wanted to make sure the biggest teams get the top collegiate player coming out of the NCAA. The results of the lottery suggest that the top market teams have usually gotten the top pick no matter the odds.

The first lottery was back in 1985. The New York Knicks won the lottery and received Patrick Ewing. He changed the landscape of New York basketball for over a decade. If you go back and watch this lottery, you can see the rigging begin in front of your own eyes. David Stern throws their envelope and bends the corner. Again, I can't be the first one to notice this. The Knicks are in a huge market and Stern needed them to be a good team. They got it when Ewing "fell" to them when they won the lottery.

Now that Stern had made sure he had a headliner in New York, he took a couple lotteries off. That is until 1993. How could the Orlando Magic win back to back years? The Magic picked Shaq in 1992 and magically, they won the lottery with a minuscule 1.52% of winning. The 11th worst record ended up selecting C-Webb and trading him to Golden State for Penny Hardaway. Would the Magic have been smarter keeping C-Webb, perhaps. The bigger question is why was the Magic so lucky? They had their superstar but with a team already in Miami, the Magic needed to have stars. With Penny and the larger than life Shaq, Stern made sure they got the luck of the lottery.

The old saying is good guys always finish last. In 1997, the Spurs All-Star Center David Robinson had his worst injury of his career and his team finished with the third worst record. A former number one pick by the San Antonio Spurs needed some help if he was ever going to win the big one. I know I am a Spurs homer but I can admit this is a little odd. David could never get passed Hakeem "The Dream" Olajuwon to win a title on his own. David was always a giving athlete and when he went down, Timmy Duncan was the consensus number 1 overall choice. Who better to help Robinson than Duncan? The balls found their way for San Antonio and after 2 titles, David said goodbye on top. I hope this is starting to make you think.

You need even more evidence that the NBA lottery is rigged. I know the Cavs had the worst record in 2003. They were only the third ever team to win the lottery having the worst record in the league. Cleveland was a fluttering franchise and needed Lebron to gain the interest of the fans. Stern was there to save the day. Orlando won it the following year with the worst record. Portland was given a chance to make up the biggest draft blunder ever when they won the lottery in 07. Stern should have made their selection since Portland chose Oden over Durant. I guess history does repeat itself. Chicago was going nowhere and with only a 1.7 percent of winning, they landed Derrick Rose. Last year, the Los Angeles Clippers, who are still terrible and the red headed step child of the Lakers, won the lottery. The Clips curse lives with Griffin blowing out his knee and never playing a minute of this season.

Now the Washington Wizards got the luck and won the lottery. Normally, I wouldn't have even had a second thought because it's the Wiz. However, I started thinking about all the bad stuff that has happened to the franchise lately. They lost their beloved owner Abe Pollin. The Wiz traded away two franchise cornerstones Antwan Jamison and Caron Butler. Before the trade, Gilbert Arenas went John Wayne wild wild west in the locker room. (By the way, it may have been the best thing ever to happen to the Wiz). With all the bad stuff and zero hope for fans, the perfect way to help them sell tickets win the lottery and draft John Wall.

I'm not an insider and have no clue if I am even close to correct. All I can do is justify my feelings. I would say I have done that with all the evidence I have laid out. The next time your NBA team starts to crumble and you think there is no hope, Super Stern will come and rescue you or so it seems. I know winning the lottery doesn't always mean a complete turnaround and make your team a winner. It doesn't hurt though. Now if only I could get Stern to rig the Powerball.

Over the Limit Predictions

We have had one long year with pay per view picks. Some great ones like my perfect prediction Summerslam, and some horrible ones, too many to mention. I always feel I have a sense on where the WWE is going with their story lines. I know it comes as a shock to you since my record so far this year is Charles Barkley Esq "terrrrible". I promise with the one year celebration, I am going to turn the corner starting with Over the Limit.

R-Truth vs Ted Dibiase Jr.
I have talked about the potential this feud has in my Raw blog and I stand by it. I like Truth because of his unique wrestling style and charisma. Teddy has been showing off his mic skills as of late. I love the WWE bringing back Virgil but I hope it is only a two time thing. I think it will be, Virgil screws up and Truth picks up the victory.

Diva Championship
Eve (c) vs Maryse
I have something I never have when it comes to Diva matches, expectations. The feud has been good and Eve has developed into a nice Diva as of late. Maryse has gotten the better of Eve in the past few Raws. The match should take a little longer than the normal Diva matches on Raw. I like Eve to keep the belt.

Unified Tag Team Champions
Hart Dynasty (c) vs Miz/Jericho
I really hope this is a one time tag team with Jericho and Miz. Jericho and Miz losing and then one of them turning on the other would make the most sense. You could start a feud between the two right then and would help Raw out. I would love to see Jericho as a face. I know there is talk with Jericho/Miz and Show. I don't see it happening. I'll take the best tag team in the WWE to keep their Tag team titles.

Hair or Join the SES
Punk vs Rey
I heard the hosts of Showstoppers complaining, dare I say bitching about this match. Oh how horrible it is to get two of the best workers on Smackdown wrestling each other for a third time. I know it's a third time and that doesn't bother me since they work so well together. The stipulation seems to favor Rey because it would make the most sense to have Punk bald. The WWE doesn't always go with the most logical choice. I will take Punk to win and Rey join the SES.

IC Title
Drew McIntyre (c) vs Kofi Kingston
I have loved the untouchable chosen one story with Drew. He is a great heel and a solid in ring performer. Kofi should be kept in the IC title hunt for sometime on Smackdown. I think these two can have a very good feud with a few matches on pay per view. For now, Drew makes the better champion than challenger. I say Drew keeps the belt.

Randy Orton vs Edge
Love this match! Seriously, this is the match I look forward to the most on the entire card. I don't want it to be a one and done feud. Raw needs a feud like this to help the crappy feud we have seen with the WWE title. It is no secret Randy Orton is my favorite character in the WWE. Edge got the momentum on Raw. Over the Limit, the Viper strikes with venom. I like Randy Orton.

World Heavyweight Championship
Jack Swagger (c) vs The Big Show
If you listened to Showstoppers a month ago, Randy Orton was going to win the World Title and head to Smackdown. Now they have done a complete 180 and think Big Show is a stepping stone to help elevate Swagger. Good to see you boys come around. What the hell took you so long? I said at Extreme Rules, Swagger will keep the belt. If the WWE wants to keep making Swagger look strong, he has to beat opponents who are frankly above him. Swagger does keep the belt at Over the Limit. However, can Swagger gut wrench power bomb the Big Show? No chance. Big Show wins the match by DQ.

WWE Title I Quit Match
John Cena (c) vs Batista
No secret, I hate this match and this feud. They have bored the crap out of me the past 3 months. Thankfully this will be the final match of the feud. I would love to see Sheamus come out during the match and beat the piss out of both guys. The no brain er of the entire pay per view is John Cena keeping his title. The WWE could pull of the ultimate switch if they used the story like they used back on Mick Foley. Remember Rock and Foley's I Quit Match when Rock played a recording of Foley screaming I Quit. I quit to win the match. I know it's been done but that is the only way we will ever hear Cena say I quit in a match. Cena wins without the use of duct tape.

Raw 5-17 A Celebration

Why are we celebrating this blog? We should really be celebrating every blog but this one is truly special. I have been doing the Raw blog for one year now. I'm not going to hand out some superficial award to myself. Instead, the award goes to you, the fans that have made this blog possible and kept it going for the past year. I am proud to be the voice of the old school wrestling fan. Raw goes commercial free for the second time it WWE history. Buzz leads us into space for the 1 year anniversary of the start of the BBSD Raw blog.

No special second paragraph I want to get straight to Raw. The WWE did the right thing with having the Canadian hero Bret Hart coming out first. The riff back and forth between Jericho and Bret was a beautiful thing. The beauty of it all is Jericho, a fellow Canadian, who got his native country men to boo him. I was really hoping Bret wasn't going to wrestling versus the Miz and maybe I will get my wish.

Edge vs Christian
Jericho may have been booed, Edge wasn't. I couldn't have been happier to see Christian being the opponent for Edge. I would have loved to see an entire feud with Christian and Edge, perhaps next years Wrestlemania. How good could an actual feud be with Christian and Edge? Their match on Raw solidifies what we all knew, it would be awesome. Shocking to say the least to see The Undertaker return! The Undertaker doesn't make a whole lot of sense showing up on a random Raw but who the hell cares it's the freaking Undertaker. We may not have witnessed an actual match and I wanted to see a Tombstone Piledriver. It was still nice for the Taker to show up. I must be part Canadian since I enjoyed the first two segments of Raw.

I guess the WWE is going through with a permanent GM of Raw. I wonder who they are going to pick. Poor Buzz couldn't remember where he was, it's the WWE buddy. The WWE is doing something right with the Diva title on Raw. We have been seeing the budding feud between Eve and my girlfriend Maryse in the past few weeks. The payoff should come with a nice one on one match for the title on Sunday.

Mark Henry must have pissed someone off one of the writers. He has been beaten down the last two weeks by Batista. I haven't heard he had a legit injury. Henry has made Batista look ultra strong heading into Over the Limit.

Yoshi Tatsu vs Ted Dibiase Jr
Virgil, the Virgil sighting and he even got a loud pop from the crowd. Hilarious! Yoshi is under used, that's an understatement, on Raw. Tatsu showed he could be more than a jobber. He could certainly be in a feud with someone for the US Title. The match was solid and Teddy needed to go over and get the win. I can't believe Virgil will stick around for a while. If you're over the age of 20 you would know who Virgil is but most kids will have no idea.

Miz vs Bret "The Hitman" Hart
Regal and Kozlov showing up should mean when the Dynasty beats Miz and Jericho Sunday, they will be the new feud. The match wasn't pretty, much like Mania, and I have no idea how the story will go from here. All I know is it's cool that Bret gets a title win to celebrate his final Raw. Bret may have to come back now. I wanted the United States title to get some exposure. I was hoping for a real feud. The kid in me is pumped. The wrestling fan is questioning the booking.

Eve and Bella Twins vs Maryse, Layla and McCool.
I don't get why McCool had a title. Eve has started to grow on me a little lately. I can remember when all Diva matches on Raw were 6 diva matches. The most beautiful Diva gets the win and momentum heading towards their ppv match. I actually have some expectations for the Diva title match.

Cena with the same promo he has been doing since 2003. He is passionate during his interview, except he gives the same damn speech. I won't lie to you, I took a piss during it. Batista and Cena ranks up there with one of the worst WWE title feuds in history. I'll give them some respect since their matches have not sucked. They have gotten by. Sunday needs to finish the feud and Batista's career.

Randy Orton vs Jack Swagger
The Swagger pick makes complete sense. Orton beat him a few weeks ago and Swagger picked up the victory at Extreme Rules. I'll have more about Swagger and his World title reign on my Over the Limit pick blog which will be on the website Thursday morning (cheap plug). I had a feeling Canada would love Randy Orton. They are one of the most vocal fans and love the Anti-Hero. The match was good not great. The dq had to happen. Neither Orton nor Swagger could afford a loss before Sunday.

Bourne and Kim vs Ryder and Fox
I believe I called this match last week on my Raw blog. As I said then, Raw needs small feuds like Bourne and Ryder. I enjoyed the match but I always do with Bourne. I kind of hope the feud can go a little bit longer. I'm pretty sure Buzz was drunk.

Sheamus vs Cena
The sad thing is with Triple H out, Sheamus will be kept off the pay per view. The Irish Ghost should have been placed in some sort of feud after Over the Limit unless Triple H is going to come back. Sheamus has worked hard and has turned into a solid in ring performer. The match was better than I expected. The fall for Sheamus sounded horrible. The outcome was predictable, either Cena wins or Batista interferes. The I Quit Match will no doubt end the show.

Raw was a very good show if you like in ring entertainment. I really enjoyed Edge vs Christian and the Swagger Orton match. I love solid wrestling and the WWE finally gave me what I wanted. It doesn't always happen but when it does, I am a very happy Raw blogger. Jon Lovitz is next weeks host. I find Jon funny, not sure if that is going to matter hosting Raw. I can already think of a good backstage segment with Jon and Santino. Be sure to check out Wasp's TNA blog every Friday morning and ShowStoppers every Tuesday afternoon. You can check out my Over the Limit pick Thursday morning on BBSD. The best damn WWE blogger on the planet thanks you again for keeping this Raw blog going. I sure hope we can keep it going another year.

A Mixed Bag of Opinions

I have sat back long enough. I haven't written anything about sports for quite sometime. Many things have occurred since I last wrote and I need to get a few things off my chest. My basketball team knocked out the Mavs, then got swept by another rival. The biggest bust ever was released, thankfully. The biggest news is obviously Lebron and where he will sign during the off season. I'm sure this is the 10,000th blog written on Lebron. I get it, we all have our theories. I have my own.

Two seconds after the ball game was over, ESPN was having a two hour Sportscenter on where Lebron will go. Screw the mega corporate conglomerate ESPN. Don't listen to that crap. The facts are Cleveland management has tried to do everything in their power to keep Lebron happy and they have failed. The season maybe over and now the hype will begin. Where will Lebron go? I'm hear to tell you where he needs to go.

The teams in the hunt for Lebron are limited to Chicago, New York, New Jersey, LA Clippers and staying in Cleveland. The fore gone conclusion is the Knicks are going to get Lebron and another superstar and will turn it all around. I don't see it that way. Yes the Knicks are going to get their mega star and most likely it's going to be Dwayne Wade or Joe Johnson. New York is rebuilding and I don't see Lebron wanting any part of a rebuilding process. My choices for Lebron come down to New Jersey, Chicago and Cleveland. New Jersey because they have a nice young talented team with Devin Harris and Brooke Lopez. He could have two talented young pieces when he walks in the door. The bad thing is the Nets are the Mets of the NBA. Second class rate next to the Knicks. Lebron could stay in Cleveland and it would make the most sense to his image. He's the hometown boy and should stay to keep Cleveland fans hopes up for something good. I would have said a week ago, he's not going anywhere. This playoff series has changed my views. Lebron get the hell out of there and head to Chicago. You and Derrick Rose will make one hell of a combination. They will embrace you and never boo you. I'm not a Bulls fan by any stretch. You deserve a team that will give you everything you want and that's Chicago. You can even have a really annoying power forward teammate, Joakim Noah, like Cleveland's Anderson Varejo. You could change from 23 to 45 and no one will care. Lebron, if you care at all about winning head to Chicago.

I'm not going to go into great detail about the Spurs and the Duncan Era being over. I have a ton of respect for Duncan and his accomplishments. I will dedicate an entire blog to the Big Fundamental when he rides off into the sunset. The Era of winning championships is over and now is the time to think ahead to the future. Manu and Duncan aren't going anywhere but a few other guys could be gone. Parker has already being rumored to the Knicks. I would actually go for this trade if a sign and trade could be made for David "Double Double" Lee, Wilson Chandler and a 2nd round pick. I don't think that's to much to ask for when you are getting an NBA Finals MVP. I know Tony wants to stay and I will be fine either way. I like TP. I also know that the Spurs have to have depth in the front court and adding Lee would be a big upgrade over Bonner. Roger Mason, Bonner and Keith Bogans can all take their leave. I had heard Jefferson might opt out, which would be the best thing for the Spurs. If he opts out, more cap space is free to sign a back up shooting guard. The Spurs will have plenty of options. San Antonio has a great general manager and head coach who are always on the same page. I will always have hope when it comes to my Spurs since they usually get the moves right.

Finally the Raiders got one right. What? You thought I wasn't going to mention the best thing to happen to the Raiders in the past decade. Russell is gone and I couldn't be happier. I will say he pulled off the biggest robbery ever. I mean I have never heard a bank robber get away with 39 million dollars. Congratulations on your amazing feat. He is now and will forever be known as the biggest bust in NFL draft history. I don't know if you had heard Ryan Leaf sent him a thank you card. I even heard there was a note inside the card. I got a transcript of the note:

I wanted to say thank you Jamarcus. I have never met you before but you have made the media forget all about me. I thought this day would never come. I sent along a Burger King gift card as a token of my appreciation and I thought you were looking a little slim. Forever grateful, Ryan Leaf.

Now that's a nice story. Speaking of nice stories, I was reading a story on another sports website on Kenny Anderson. He is graduating from an online college after blowing 60 million dollars from his NBA career. He has 7 kids with 5 different women. Am I suppose to feel bad for him? He had 60 million dollars. I guess during college he never took economics. Yes, he is changing his life now and we all have to go through some hardship in life. I know if I had 60 million dollars, I wouldn't be blowing it on stupid stuff or getting a bunch of women knocked up. I'd be on a beach somewhere living the good life. I have a heart and it's nice to see Kenny bounce back. Now keep it in your pants and be smart now that you have an education.

The thing about the sports world is it always evolves. You never know what is going to happen. The headlines keep changing. The talking heads are always telling you what is best for your teams. The truth is you never know what is going to be the best for your team. You can always have hope and sometimes that's enough to get us through the sports world. Unless your a Cleveland fan, who are ready to jump off a bridge in disbelief. I can't blame you and only time will tell if it can get worse.

Raw 5-10 I told you so

First off, a big thank you to BBSD for the sympathy given to me last week. Also thank you to Eric for writing the Raw blog. Thank yous are out of the way we can get to wrestling. Last week, I was disappointed. I will have more on last weeks Raw later. I can't believe we get Flava Flav on Raw. I will make sure to turn on the closed captioning to understand what the hell he is saying. If the celebrity GM is going to be guys who had shows on VH1 it maybe time to quit. I don't want to be disappointed again.

The reason this blog is being titled I told you so is because I in fact said I told you so. TNA is no longer on Monday nights. The Monday night wars is already over before it ever heated up. Of course I am going to gloat. I wrote a huge Monday night war blog, click here to read it. I said TNA will never compete with the WWE. They gave up to quickly and should have stuck it out throughout the summer. I still think they couldn't win. Now we will never know. TNA goes back to Thursdays and it's unfortunate for wrestling fans who have to dedicate another night to watch wrestling. I was doing that anyway because I didn't watch TNA on Mondays. I am most disappointed because Wasp and I don't get to have dueling blogs on Tuesdays. I can't wait until the ratings to come out for Raw and see how it does unopposed. I told you to listen to me. My ppv picks may have sucked but I do know a few things about wrestling.

As far as last weeks show, NXT guys should not be wrestling Batista and Cena. I really enjoyed the end with Edge and Orton and the Dibiase Morrison match. After that, nothing really sparked my interest. The WWE will make me happy if they continue to show the Hart Dynasty every week. I like the teaming of Jericho and Miz but worried the US title will get lost again. The recaps are over and now is the time to breakdown Raw.

The man who ends last weeks show starts this weeks. Who the hell cares about Meatloaf and his new album? A horrible looking RKO and I don't care because it needed to be done. After witnessing the first ten minutes the real show starts with Edge. I may not be the biggest fan of bringing back Vicki as the GM of Raw. On the one hand, it's a story line rehashed. She brings in major heat though and this is a great way of getting Orton even more over as a face. The fans can't stand Vicki so they will be begging Orton to RKO her loud mouth.

I enjoyed the Jericho David match even if it was to short. As I said earlier, I am not fond of teaming Jericho and Miz up. I hope it's a one time thing and they are only tagging up to put over the Dynasty at Over the Limit. Jericho could then turn back to a face and see if he can gain back his jericholics. The Dynasty need to hold the titles for a long time to help establish the tag titles. Showstoppers hosts talked about how to help the tag division last week on their radio show. None of them talked about the tag champions. I know you have to have tag teams to defend those titles. You also need to get the champions established as a power house.

I needed closed caption for Flava Flav. Holy crap I have no idea what new show he is on, I dont care either. Primo and Carlito are one of those tag teams who can have a story line with the Hart Dynasty. Truth and Dibiase feud has a ton of potential. The match was a wasted segment even if it solidified the feud. I would rather see a few tag matches with say Truth and Morrison vs Dibiase and someone. I would have taken a backstage promo with Flav and Truth then have Primo and Carlito beat him up backstage.

I have mentioned many times about how much I enjoy Evan Bourne. I think Ryder has some potential. The outcome may help Raw get some under card feuds. I'm sure next week we will have a mixed tag match with Bourne and Kim versus Ryder and Fox. Raw needs little story lines like these to help give the show purpose. I'm not saying it's gonna be a long great feud. A couple of weeks is enough and it gives guys like Bourne and Ryder some much needed exposure.

Eric hit on how stupid Over the Limit is for a pay per view name. I'm with him and the name is stupid. I am happy to see its not a lame gimmick show. The final installment of the Cena Batista will be an I Quit Match. If I didn't hate the two men, I might say I would look forward to that match. I thought the Batista and Sheamus attack of Cena this week would set up the returning Game next week. I was in a bit of shock when Henry rolled down the ramp way. Triple H must be taking a longer hiatus then I expected.

Tyson Kidd with a surprisingly quick win over Miz. I am a big fan of Bret Hart but even I don't want to see him wrestle Miz. I know it will be the final night of Bret's recent stint with the WWE. I hope he gets a replacement for that match. I'm not sure who he can get to step in, maybe a Canadian.

WWE stop putting the damn NXT kids on Raw. I know the ratings for the show suck so you are trying to push the kids. I was going to keep ripping until Daniel finally got a victory. He is the best wrestler on NXT and he and Bourne could have one exciting match. Vince is keeping him down because of his name recognition from ROH. Daniel needs to start being pushed.

I don't get the beat down on Henry. That didn't help him at all. I guess it was all for pushing Batista and his new finisher. You could have done that in a match instead of wasting a segment. A heel cheats and attacks when his opponents back is turned and that's what Batista did. Doesn't always have to make sense I guess.

Teddy teaming up with Edge made sense. Who would know Orton better? I liked Truth coming out to help Orton win. Why the hell would you have Vicki promoted and resign in one night? The WWE has no common sense. Randy gets the win and goes two up on Edge. Their match is the one I look forward to the most at the pay per view.

The second time ever next week is commercial free. I thought for sure last year would have more in ring wrestling and less bull crap. I was wrong. I hope I get a little more in ring action next week because this week really lacked in the wrestling department. Buzz doesn't do much for me in the guest host department, which seems to get weaker every week. Betty White did well on Saturday Night Live, bring her in for a week. I'll be back next week for another Raw blog.
